What's Inside?

History of the Reading Room

The first Christian Science Reading Room was established in 1888 to make available Mary Baker Eddy’s seminal book on the Bible and Christian healing: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. There are more than 1,500 Reading Rooms worldwide---and they continue to serve local communities and make available literature published or sold by The Christian Science Publishing Society. There has been a Reading Room in Edmonds since the 1920s.

Chamber of Commerce

The Christian Science Reading Room is in the business of sharing the truth about Christian Healing through sales of the Christian Science textbook and other literature published by the Christian Science Publishing Society. It is a member of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, and representatives attend Chamber functions regularly.
