History of the Reading Room

The first Christian Science Reading Room was established in 1888 to make available Mary Baker Eddy’s seminal book on the Bible and Christian healing: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. There are about 1,400 Reading Rooms worldwide---and they continue to serve local communities and make available literature published or sold by The Christian Science Publishing Society. There has been a Reading Room in Edmonds since the 1920s.

Chamber of Commerce
